Since it has been designed to make the life of any blues harpist that bit easier, this microphone features an on/off switch and a volume pot mounted in just the right spot, handing musicians extra control over the drive of their amplifier - just like the volume pot of an electric guitar would.

Features of the Peavey H-5 Harmonica Microphone

The frequency response of the H-5 has been specially tuned to match harmonicas, so while a vocal microphone can often sound a little dead when cupped against a harmonica, the sound of the H-5 retains clarity and definition, while the omnidirectional polar pattern of the internal capsule efficiently counters the proximity effect. The detailed design of this microphone also features both a secure mini XLR output and a standard 6.3mm jack output, so it can be hooked up directly to a guitar amplifier using the included jack lead.
